where does the gear box oil go please????

Ricambio charged me £7.95 per litre plus postage!
And talking about a Haynes manual for the 126, I gave up and got one on loan from my local library, and just kept renewing the loan.

Yeah I think it's £7.95 + vat isn't it ? Ummmmmm that's a good idea think Il go to the library today and see if they got one. Mine isn't starting atm. Starts after about 30 seconds of cranking over, runs like a bag of nails, miss firing, cuts out then same again.

Mine is fine starting cold, but a pig to restart when hot. Is this a fuel mixture problem? any one having the same experience?

Funny you should say that I had the same problem with my Morris minor and I changed the plugs and the choke cable because it needed doing and it's fine now. Might be a coincidence lol

try leaning out the carb its probbably running too rich

OK thanks' I will try the mixture first, then invest in a new pair of plugs, keep you posted if ether option cures the problem.

Did you get your hot starting problem sorted Rick, what was the fix? I have the same problem, starts fine when cold, on the button, but when left for 5minutes and still hot, it needs the accelerator to the floor to start, it will turn over for a good 6 to 10 seconds before catching/starting  It's not fuel evaporating the carb as I have an electric pump.

Mine doesn't like starting when warm at all either it seems! . Pretty much the same story needing full throttle to get it started when warm... turns over very very slowly.

Bis owners handbook does say when starting a hot engine, "Depress the accelerator pedal slightly,"

Then it goes on to say " when the engine is hot it may be necessary to press the accelerator pedal fully down to start the engine and do not pump the accelerator as the fuel mixture will become excessively rich making starting difficult"

So there you have it. I'll have to put up with it...it's normal.

Although strange really, if I start it within say a minute of turning it off Hot, it starts on the button, any longer and I have to press the pedal to the floor, I'd love to know what the root cause is
