Aircooled Idle speed

Hi
Does anyone on here know what the idle speed of an 1983 Aircooled 650cc 126 should be?

My charging light keeps coming on at idle and the engine is bouncing around a lot, I've read the haynes and it doesn't give me much detail on setting the idle. It more or less says adjust to the point where it stops jumping about.

Has anyone got any advice on that?

Further to my question on idle speed. I have from various sources been advised that 800 rpm is an acceptable idle speed so that's what I've tried to go for on mine.
