Newbie Fiat 126 in Scotland
« on: March 12, 2014, 03:53:52 PM »
Hello,
Not very good at these intro posts but here goes!

Last year began work on this little beauty "E897 FBD" now living in Scotland (Inverness).
Arrived on a trailer, basically a rolling shell : no engine in place, all parts had been stripped off by previous owner (not sure of his original plan)... and paint in 50 shades of cream and white!

Over the past 6 months :
Resprayed, de-rubber-bumpered, replaced with chrome bumpers...
Brand new interior (with retrimmed seats in black leather, brand new red carpet...)
Mechanically : new engine in place, new kingpins, bearings etc etc
Lots to get her back on the go but slowly getting there!

Still a few hurdles before MOT time but looking forward to getting involved in the club.

Found, by fluke, a post on RetroRides of a previous seller - would love to know more history!

A few photos of the Fiat since she's been in my hands...

Welcome home!
