micheal and colm from rs autos ie stewartys garage , to help me on they set the timing valves etc points plugs etc , fresh petrol but it wouldnt start , stewarty himself landed , he said its not getting petrol , so he said SPRAY SOME deodrent  into the carb and away it went , but wouldnt start on its owen , so micheal stripped the carb , when he went to put it on he said theres the problem a washer was on tghe flat of teh manifold letting it draw air , on now its on the button owennw

i spoke to the person i got the 126 from in dublin , he looked at the photos of the car , and said u dont realise how special a fiat u own ,.
 that car belonged to BARON AMADEO GUILLET  THE FAMPOUS WW1  WW2 WAR HERO
Baron Amedeo Guillet, the army’s “Devil Commander” and one of the great protagonists of Italian diplomatic history, who served as ambassador for more than 20 years, is dead at the age of 101. With three wars behind him, and five-times wounded, decorated with the Italian military cross of honour, Guillet died in Rome on Wednesday 16 June.

Born in Piacenza on 7 February 1909 DIED 101 IN 2010

HE WORK IN THE IRISH GOVERMENT  ON BEHALF OF THE ITALIAN  SOMETHING ,

now hows that for a bit of history for the former owner of my 126
it was found in barn along side rhd 500 gardineria

Tom Heavey forwarded me your email as I'm in charge of arranging features etc for Irish Vintage Scene magazine. Fair play on the restoration, it sounds like a great story and I just read about amadeo Guillett too, which is amazing stuff. The first car I ever drove (as a 12 year old) was an air-cooled 126 so I've a special fondness for them.

I'd love to get the ball rolling on doing a feature on this Fiat, and possibly the others also. Can you tell me whereabouts ye are all located?

to day i flatten the 126 with 1500 then 2000 wet dry and moped just now have to polish it , fitted new front bumper , have made and painted 2 wee brackets to fit the original front number plate , i coulf fitt a new one but with this i think its better , then fitted indicators not wired to the 500 and fitted the windows with new rubbers , owen nw
