High rev-rev-reving
« on: February 05, 2014, 06:51:33 PM »
I've noticed something creeping up a bit recently and getting very noticeable now.

Once the engine's got up to temp I have noticed that the rev's are not dropping back down very quickly when I drop off the gas.
At first I thought my throttle cable might be stiff but it's fine at low temperatures.
When in traffic and I press in the clutch it races up a fair bit before gradually drops down to a slightly fast
idle.

I'm wondering if this is a bit of a timing issue but not sure where to start checking.

Hmmm?

Try at the engine end once warm, then that will eliminate whether it is the cable or otherwise.
All things Italian.

it sounds like the mixture is abit rich. first try to screw in the idle mixture screw.
hopefully that works.
