Well, after a hectic and busy auction... 220 watchers and 5000 views over 10 days... 47 bids... the BIS reached a fair £2150 after the winner had already offered me an early £2300 cash offer to end the auction :D.

Yesterday it was finally picked up and put on a transporter (somewhat hair raisingly!) and on its way off to Hull to the new owners Paul and Jan. I've had a couple of pictures from them and will try to add the last few pictures I had of the car on here.

The decision to sell was tough, but i'm glad I sold it in the manner through ebay to reach a fair valuation and establish and validate some market value for other owners.

So this thread is over for now. I'm sure Paul and Jan will see that she gets the love she deserves and glad that the car went to a couple who will enjoy the car as much as I did. More smiles being spread around the country! Maybe i'll see her one day again, I might even have to pay some trips up north some time in hope that I might spot it driving around! I will still frequent the forum as I still have an engine that I want to play with once a few other commitments are ticked off the to do list!

It was nice to meet you bud. your car looked amazing and I take my hat off to you for getting it back on the road from a box of bits  ;D it's not often you hear of one being put back on the road (there usually butchered up) so it's a relive that it's gone to a good home  :)

And what a price!  :D this shows just how much thses little cars are worth now and has filled me with a lot of confidence should I ever sell mine. Good luck with your next project mate !  ;)
