Thanks Chris for the welcome,
all the major work has been carried over by a nice German chap, it has to be said. He did a masterful job in restoring the shell.
Nonetheless I am very proud of the new "direction" the project has taken with me.
mods so far:
- widened
- lowered
- 165/55 13" wheels
- front disk brakes
- a few extra dials inside
What it needs now:
- carb tuning
- bigger steering wheel
- a few more horses
planned for the future (coming in at sluggish pace):
- fiberglass engine lid
- 5th gear - the ability to cruise and travel
- suspension adjustments
- a bigger project involving the engine is under evaluation, nothing radical though, no engine sills will be harmed
