Hi there,

Yeah I just got in. You guys have some interesting topics out here. And because I need some questions answered I joined 126UK from Amsterdam. I drive a steel blue '84 air cooled 126 'Bambino' which came over from Poland. Nice car but bit sloOooow... :o. Hopefully this will change in the coming years  :P

Yo Topolino. Tuning? How deep are your pockets? You can easily spend 1000.00 euros and obtain another 10bhp ,but try Van Der Laan in NL, as he has plenty of go faster bits on sale.MIKE

Yeap. I know. Poland the best place to be right now. But you need the right contacts.

- What I love to do is to add a motorcycle two cilinder engine in the car. I've seen that it can be done with a Aprilia RSV engine. Very stunning. Topic about it is very interesting. I will keep that in mind.

- Option 2 could be a swap with Cinquecento engine. I've got all the parts. It will gain power straight away but...Dutch APK rules permit that a two cilinder car must stay a two cilinder car. This will mean that I have to swap every once a year. Not a mega big deal but the part that I hate is to cut holes into the for the radiator. Ok, try a Bis, a 600, a 850 set up but all these concept have over heated engine problems.

- Option 3: On the otherhand my thoughts go out to 'just' mod. the regular engine. Then I will add a Solex 34 PBIC (already in stock) which came with the ABARTH's of around 1964, a modded head with standard out- and 36 in valves, sport exhaust, camshaft and balancing the rotating parts in- and outside the engine incl. the flywheel.
Nothing more nothing less. How much HP this will give? And will all cost?...I've got no clue.

- Option 4: or do nothing  :P

Hello and welcome to the forum. Option three looks like the best route to take. The amount of hop-up work one can do to an AC is mind boggling, particularly if you have lots of funds. As long as it is done tastefully, say, with original Abarth parts, it will not depreciated, in my opinion.
