I've got much of the electrics in place. Gideon took the Toyo-dash-PCB home to desolder the SMD-LED's and is going to put them on a new PCB that fits in the Fiat binnacle.

Sorry no photos yet but don't worry I will be bothering you with those shortly! ;)

pffff   :$ It took me a while... We took the Toyota binnacle apart and started to extend the wires of the display. Full of hope we reconnected it, but ..... It didn't work  ???  I am now troubleshooting the wiring  :headscratch: Yesterday we went out for another set of wiringloom (thankfully with closed wallet this time  :thumbup Thanks Bas!!) This moring: with the new loom connected:

Now I want to find out what went wrong with the (old-) altered wiring....

Let me give you an overview of the work I've carried out regarding the wiring.

This is all the Toyota wiring... ;D

But becaus the enigine is in the back I had to modify this part of the loom.

I found some cable with enough wires for the extension.

With this cable I could even incorporate the wires for the rear lights.

Most of the wiring is more or less in place. :)

My friend Gideon finished the fiddly job of soldering the wires to make the new binnacle. And the LEDs works  :D



Among some other things  ;D, I will start making a new dail.

Yes, Thank you  :) another year older (and wiser  ::))

Together with my girlfriend we designed a new dail. I thought it would be nice to have 126 into it! (and I know 240 km/h, I am an optimist! ;D

A few hours of fiddling and making use of the foil cutter at http://fablabarnhem.nl/ this is what came out of it. The '126' will be added later.

I am pretty pleased, but think the icons are a bit to big...

This is more or less what I had in mind: looking original, but with a modern touch.

The last photo, I made a start with the hydraulic clutch...

OK I'm back on the job, it was too cold to get anything done... ::)

I've been working with glass fiber to adapt some of the plastic aygo parts to the Fiat.

First the gear shift mechanism.


Trial fit in the car


And the radiator which is largely made of plastic as well


more soon... :D
