Now to decide wether to use the same bodyshop again or not. The quality is good, and they have assured me if they get to spray it, it will be in and all done within a week. Also they have given me a good price for cash, because of how long they had it before.

Hmmmm.

Either way i've got to get around to stripping it first in the next couple of weeks. I am quite busy with some personal stuff though, but hopefully there will be some more progress before the new year.

I applied for a job two months ago with Devon and Cornwall Police with the hope of moving back home again, but things didn't work out how I hoped, so looks like im stuck in Kent for a bit. 

Every cloud and all that though, means I can spend some more cash on the car and get things moving again. I'm now in talks with the bodyshop about getting it in for spraying before Christmas (present to myself!)

Hopefully I can start putting it back together in the new year.

Well done! Tom, it's going to be a minter once done! 

I'd suggest investing in a dehumidifier for that shed to protect it through winter...

Just an idea but you can get cystals that soak up moisture? We used them in an old house to stop the windows misting up?!

I move to my new house within the next four weeks. I now have my own garage with power, so the car will be moved from my rental garage to mine. I will then invest in a garage heater and de-humidifier )

One month to go and I can re-commence work in the car! )

Hurrah finally! After a year of being in a garage being welded and six months sat in a rental garage, the car is home, in my own garage with power and light. I am going to commence stripping it back to the bare shell this week in order to for it to off to the bodyshop for prep work and spraying. Let the restro re-commence. Hopefully some regular updates from now on.

Today I got it up on the ramps to give it a quick inspection to see what work is required.

Started stripping the car out today so it is a bare shell. Can't say I'm looking forward to putting it all back in! :-O







Some interesting modifications found, including this! A wired in computer fan, to help push the air through the heater box!

Rear wiring loom cleaned today, with some soldering done to repair some bodging with tape, and general tidy. Start the front loom tomorrow. Such a time consuming job!
