Smoke Signals
« on: August 09, 2012, 01:47:55 PM »
Nipped to the local store this morning, sun roof down, lovely ride  ;D
Swung back on my driveway and stopped then got overtaken by a cloud of smoke  ???
Got out to find smoke billowing out of the engine bay  :o
I am waiting for it to cool down at the moment so I can investigate but I have seen so many old cowboy & indian films I could read the smoke signals  :)

It said "Heap big problem with your ride! Get it sorted paleface or the big journey across the plains to the R.R. Pow Wow is off !  Big Chief Sitting Pete will be angry, like last Buffalo, if you do not drink the Firewater in his Teepee with the other tribes  >:(  . Don't be like squaw as few moons left "

Hope it is nothing serious and when it comes to braves not many are Apache on me but if it is someone else's fault I will definately Souix  ;D

OK call off the cavalry  :)
Turned out that the exhaust brackets had been badly fitted and it had thrown the rear upper stud so oil pumps out of the crankcase pretty much straight onto the exhaust hence all the smoke.
All up and running now so smoking pipe of peace  ;D
