Misfire!
« on: June 04, 2012, 06:31:08 PM »
Right, car was running well.  Went to autoitalia and everything fine.  Went to rugby today and everything fine but the car did get a chance to warm up properly.  Anyway on the way home it has started to misfire, the more you accelerate the more it misfires, anyone shed any light on what may of happened, I am assuming fuel or dizzy. It also idles fine. Don't worry already checked the vac hose and this is fine.

Remove the heat exchange pipe from the exhaust to the air box, not really needed this time of year and can cause evaporation problems.

Found out what is wrong.  Went out to fix, took off dizzy cap and loads of metal filings inside.  Turns out part of the dizzy has sheared off inside and therefore has stated to short out!

Anyone got a spare Distributor for a Bis?
