Payen Gasket set
« on: January 22, 2006, 07:11:39 PM »
My machine shop supplied me with a top end gasket setfor a Bis, because they needed the valve seals. The main crank seals are different to the ones on the original, particularly the one that goes on the crank's end with the piston ring type seal. The original was just a large "o" ring, the Payen one is a much thicker lip seal but about 15% of the diameter the lip sort of flips over. Anyone else come across these and how do you position these? Or maybe I am just trying to stick it in the wrong place.

What sort of gasket set has an air intake seal ( carb to pan) but no carb to inlet manifold gaskets? Coz that is what I reckon it is although there is none on the two I have to hand.
