Haha you guys crack me up.
Yes it was a good shell, infact it was so good I did think about moving it on but what would it have been worth as it was MOT and Taxless? A few hundred quid? What would have I got for that to replace it with? A rot box to spend countless hours welding, filling and fixing up as well as paint to make it look good, cost me a fortune for what? Na I decited just to use what I had, easier and cheaper in the long run, and in the end up it ended up making me money. The engine and box, doors, interior and brakes all went on to keeping other cars on the road so you should all be happy with that. As for the other parts I still have, they will see the inside of the big skips tomorrow, Shame eh!! Also as for not completing the project, it was completed as a trailer as the bonnet opened the wrong way for the BBQ idea to work. Not all of the car is away, I still have the back which is in paint at the moment, 2 small pieces of surface rust the size of a 1p piece on a rear arch and should be home and in place in my living room by next week as a novelty couch for the kids to sit next to my V8 table I built.
I am sorry for upsetting some of you but you really need to get a life and stop being so pathetic about a piece of metal, Anyone would have thought I commited murder haha I am a car lover although I bet you dont believe me but I dont care, I joined the forum as I thought some of you may be interested in some parts and to see what I was doing, in no way did I come on here to wind you up, If I dont get deleted for being a 126 hater (which Im not) i will delete all my posts and leave you all to it. Just to say though, It WAS a good project, I thoroughly enjoyed doing the job and would not hesitate in doing it all again and if that was to use another 126 I would. The new owner of the trailer was very happy with it and I would hope he gets plenty of use out of it. My kids really looking forward to his new couch coming and I and looking forward to it as well. All the best. The End!!!
