Joined this forum to further my search for a 126. Not many of them about these days.
My first car, way back when, was a 126 BIS, that I bought from my little sister. I loved that car (BHX 8T), it broke my heart to sell it because the then husband insisted I take on the Astra, when he bought something bigger.
Anyway, in these times of austerity and humungous petrol prices, I'm on the look-out for another little 126 (or fartbox as my Dad calls them), to make the daily journey to work. When I decided I needed to run something smaller to burn petrol while at a standstill in the morning traffic, this was the only car that sprang to mind.
Any ideas on the best places to find them at reasonable (cheap) prices? As long as it is a runner and RHD, I'm not worried about condition. My Dad is a classics enthusiast and would be able to help me bring it up to scratch (OK, maybe he'd be bringing up to scratch and I'd be helping).
