Well all good things must pass as they say, its time that I sold on my beloved Bis and her spare parts donor clone.
H65 VMW has been owned by me since 2006, she has been off the road for a couple of years, and is almost there in terms of getting back to full running order. The head gasket was needing replaced and is therefore new, having not had any miles done since being changed. The starter motor is also brand new. The points have been replaced just last week, and she started for the first time in a while. The body is ok, there are a couple of rust spots around the wheel arch, but generally pretty sound. The work that needs doing to get her going is pretty basic, the throttle cable and choke cable need to be set up properly and it needs a general tidy and finish replacing some interior trim. I am just getting the punctures fixed at the moment, and I think the tyres should be ok for an MOT. I have decided to sell the car as I need a van for work and I am just too busy to finish the work myself.
The other car has been a very useful donor car and as such isnt exactly complete. Externally it is all there, but the engine bay has been raided quite a bit, to get the other one going. Saying that the bodywork is pretty good and there are no shortage of spares that come with so that a complete resto shouldnt be too much work, if you are that way inclined. As I will be ridding myself of both of the cars, there is also a fair amount of spare parts in the shed that would go along with the cars, including a bonnet lid, some wings, wiring looms, a new ignition barrell, various alternators/fuel pumps and other odds and ends.
Both the cars would need trailering away, and I only have the reg document for the better one. Price wise I am open to reasonable offers, and you are more than welcome to come and have a look.
