theres plenty of alternatives just use your imagination as if it fits in its possible you only need to adapt the base to fit theres been loads of threads about this in the past have a search for them.

look on mini websites there are plenty of seats and most will fit a set of universal runners that you could bolt through the floor.....otherwise its a welder and some seat frame  chooping like i did to get these in on the original runners-

(door removed for illustration purposes...recliners could fit in the same way)

one resprayed and another arrives- double trouble BIS style!!

Not sure if the company is any good, but 750,- is a bit expensive. You can buy an other 126 for that money.
Anyway what I was going to ask, if anyone tried x1/9 seats? They are very similar in size, and even the runners look similar.

i was thinking about a cinquecento or something similar. if i did they might need new mounts on the floor. have not had time to go down to the local scrappy and check it out yet. have plenty more to do anyway, just removed the engine and gearbox and theres lots to be done to them, then theres the bodywork and running gear before i need to do the interior and the list goes on lol

OK, the best seats to fit would be Ford Escort RS Turbo seats for cheapness and availability, they are recaro items and so with a little angle grinding of the rivets on the seat frames, these will bolt straight to the floor, you will need to drill / grind the runners from the floor of the 126. I'm just in the process of doing this now so will let you know and let you know with photos how it went, I know 128 and X1/9 seats are interchangeable and I have a cinquecento sporting lying around and could see if they slide straight in if you want as they are nice bucketish comfortable seats.
