Whats it worth ? i can put pics up tomorrow, please advise so we can sell it

Hi and welcoime

Sounds like a very nice example, and to an enthusiast you'd probably get a fair penny. It's difficult to pin an exact amount because prices vary so much for these little cars, in my opinion (and I'm a bit of a n00b to these cars as well) in an ideal market you could fetch up to £1k for it, however it's still a buyer's market just now so you may end up having to take what you can get.

Best advice I can give is check Autotrader/CarAndClassic/ebay etc for prices of other 126's and judge from them.

Good luck with the sale and let us know how it goes  [-/

Its worth whatever someone will pay. Condition is everything. The mileage is always low on these cars anyway.
Pictures will help, inside and out. In the spare wheel area and battery tray, bottom of rear window, and screen, wings, door bottoms, the remove the front carpets and have a look. Stick 12months MOT on the car and it will make good money.
Most on here buy the cars to use (I hope so anyway).

Post the pictures and wait for the different prices you will be told :D

If it is an aircooled Great if it's a BIs I wil give you 50p 'Gordan' over to you  :P

 >:( >:( what is it with you guys and dissing bisses...  >:( >:(

but dajwid is right, if its an aircooled it should be worth more, but the date of production and model is wery inportant too, i.e. an italian 1970s 126 is worth A LOT in the condition you have described, a 1990 FSM aircooled cant be worth much whatever the state...

can i ask you one thing, could you scan or at least post a picture of the brochure you just mentioned, im into collecting theese... thanx...

Hi again i managed to get the car to my work shop today to get some pics, it drives so nice.
Hope these are ok and it will be interesting to see what you guys think, it is air cooled and over the years he has a lot of history which he has saved with it.

It is a Polish FSM, 1985, looks tidy. Put 12 months MOT on the car, by the garage it is in shouldn't be a problem ;)
Then Ebay. My wild guess it will get about £700-£800.
Personally I would sell the tool box as a separate item, and the rubber vent covers, but maybe I am just a 'tight git' the tool boxes make £15-20 on there own.

It is always hard to value cars like this. as without having a good dig about any horrors could lie beneath.
I agree with Gordon Keep it you will love it :D, they are great fun to drive, (great bird puller)

I have actually been looking after his car for 10 years now and know every inch of it, i did put a new clutch in it in 07 has the release bearing collapsed, but there is no rot on it any where only that little scab on the wing/bonnet.

If you know any one that would like it for the right money its theirs, it will have 12 months mot and a whole tank of fuel !!! lol

Hi Nathan,

And welcome. As has already been said lovely car, however £1k would be around the top end of what it will currently fetch.
If I were you and it was possible, I would hold on to the car as they are a constant source of fun, small, economic cars are becoming more and more essential, and 126's are slowly starting to become recognised in the Classic Car fraternity - So would be worth more in a few years.

the rust appears to be on the bonnet and underneath on the wing i think that is the bonnet seal in the picture.
