126 aircooled, 1986, 18k, no tax/mot
« on: April 15, 2009, 03:43:31 PM »
Hi,

For sale is my fiat 126. It is an aircooled one, which is made for England by FSM. It's in white.
I'm selling it to move onto a bigger, more complex car. Another classic though :)
It's a 1986 reg, with 18k on the clock.
Since I bought it I have changed the battery, and given it new HT leads, spark plugs and air filter.
It starts nicely, and its interior is in good condition.

It hasn't got a MOT or tax. I may MOT it later, certainly if the offer is right.
None of the rust is severe. I had it out today to see how it went, it drove as well as it's ever done.

£450?

i think £600 notes is a tad ambitious for a fsm in rag order? or am i just a little critical?

I thought the same thing, but didn`t wanted to be too critical about someone else's car. There was one on eBay recently in a really good order, with low mileage, not TAX or MOT and sold for £451,-...

That red one without the front seats, was a real beauty.

with Tax and MOT £500- £600.
Wants a lot of TLC. Unloved aircooled, Spares or repair, the market is not very good anyway at the moment.
on here £200 on Ebay, who knows.... But I agree £600 tooooo steep

Steep, maybe so.

I did say ideally  ;)

If you don't want to pay £600, make an offer of how much you do want to pay.

Its frustrating because I don't want to lose money, but thanks to this economic event, that seems inevitable.

I'm in Nottingham, by the way.

In response to that: I'll see what I can do.

I'd like to make you all aware, the photos I've got are of the worst bits. The rest of the car is in great nick.
I'm not one for being dishonest, so I figured I'd take photos of things, rather than let you come and visit and find out for yourself.

So, nobody wants it?

It would be awfully convenient if someone bought it soon, then my next car wouldn't be such a stretch.

Another thing to add, if I do end up buying my next car without having selling this first, I will indeed be fixing it up, and selling it later for more. Grab yourselves a bargain now!

EBay???

More chance of selling it there I think. Most on here have one or are looking out for a special 126.

MOT it and use it. NO MOT and tax it is a spares/repair, so not worth the £450 you are looking for. Sorry to be a nasty grumpy old git.

Agreed, and to put it in perspective I paid £450 for mine with no tax/mot because it was spotless, ran well and had been dry stored.
