126 £85 in northants!
« on: October 29, 2008, 05:39:46 PM »
not mine but a runner and doesnt appear to need much for its mot!!-
shameless stolen from here-

http://retrorides.proboards86.com/index.cgi?board=FSW&action=display&thread=48848&page=1

post details here-

Hello folks,

Ive been really busy recently and sense has made me realise I need to get rid of one or two things.

So, therefore........

1990 H plate Fiat 126 BIS.  Pink with stick on flowers and furry interior (as you can see from the pics below) The paint is gash but OK from about 10 paces.

Its reallt quite sound underneath, the only bits of iffy rust are a little inch by inch bit on the front corner of the l/h sill and under the screen near the wiper mount.  Its wearing sicento (or however you say it)  steels for the slightly wider tyres it gives.
Shes been sat for over a year in my lock up, runs nicely enough though, recent exhaust and I did a couple of brake pipes on it, I really think it needs a weekend tlc for MOT.

I need it gone really so shall we say £85 quid??
Me and the car are in north norhthants and I can only entertain collection at weekends if anyone should fancy it.

If you need anymore info just ask :)

one resprayed and another arrives- double trouble BIS style!!

But other than the funny (to me  :P ) colour, the car looks really decent, for such a low price, one could re spray it and it would still be cheaper than the rest...

Never mind the pink, that fluff stuff is seriously scary! Looks like a prop from some camp B-movie!

Welllll...............

Resurrection of this thread.  Its still here. Im considering selling it again cos' i havent done anything to it since the time that advert appeared on retro rides.

I will be honest, im not sure what to do with it, its was my late wifes car and for that reason im keen to keep it but i still havent got round to sorting it out.

If i keep will MOT and Matt black it (although keeping the pink interior ;D ) if not, its still 85 quid, give me notice and you will need a trailer.

So what do i do folks?  Sort it out or pass it on?

im still unsure, hmmmmm decisions.

I will think for a week or so, then make a choice, bobblehead, you have first refusal if it turns out to be for sale mate.

Still need pair gearbox mounts for it then it will be time to fire up the electric glue box (MIG) and start fixing, assuming thats the way i go.

Im trying to keep my Citroen Acadiane van roadworthy at the moment, so give it a week as i say :)
