got the 126 running but it has a nocking sound coming from the top of the engine
now im not to sure how the engine should sound in a fiat 126bis but i'm sure it shouldn't nock

im going to take the plugs out and put some red X down the bors incase the rings aren't free, a oil flush and change clean the filter bit out and look at the tapets, (what should they be set to???) any other idears people?

Sounds like its a tappet not seating properly, Maxlee did you look at that manual on the hungarian club site. Check the feelergauge measurements on there.

The sound isnt a result of the engine mounts? just a thought

i am looking at rebilding the spair engine i got so i got a spair
im just hoping its a tapet i will flush the engine as it could be cloged up dought it tho oil has been changed every 2k miles going to get it out of were it is (under a shelter) and on the the hard standing i have and remove the back and clean the filter and crack on soon as my road going car has all 4 wheels on it :roll:
