only get £11 in my bis tank

it runs out at bout 98 miles then cuts out i fill her up get 11 pounds of unleaded in at 98.9 p per litre strange also the petrol light stays on and the gauge dont workl lol
i keep laffin cos i keep a little 5 ltr can in the front boot and it half fills the tank
any ideas

thats about how much a 126 tank takes! i can brim mine to about £12 or £13

my original owners book states 21 litres matey half my tank is missing

4.62 gallons 21 dm3  now that has to be around 21 litres in my book i will try to upload the page it also says an extra 3.5 litres reserve been lookin for a tap all afternoon lol

you are correct the tank is 21litres 4.5 gal but in that the reserve of 1.1  gal  is included!! i think you have a fuel thief (any little dirt bikes around near you?). or a hole in your tank and your fuel is evaporating.  98 miles is not a good figure as you know. even try looking at your fuel lines cos you might have a degraded fuel pipe. best of luck mick

Maybe the fuel pickup is knacked? As you can't get more than 11 litres in, there might be something in the tank already? Either fuel or hard drugs... :)Have you had a look underneath? a big dent would explain this as well. Or perhaps the tank isn't venting properly so you can't fill it without fuel backing up the filler pipe causing the pump nozzle to switch off?  Or you are just putting fuel in too fast with the same results?

fuel filter is brown inside now was clean white new one fitted when my fuel pump went a few weeks ago
no fuel theives who would bother there is a fat audi next to it!
when going round corners we have a splutter (broken pickup pipe) does anyone have a pipe or dajwid how much for a tank 1990 bis w/cooled one?

how many miles should i be getting to the gallon?
runs out at 108 miles on around 12 pounds at 98 p per liter

any ideas?

see m8 i can do on a motorway 60mpg well i have done on a good run from london to yorkshire crusing at 55 - 60

im sure i get just over 200 miles on a tank, i pay about £14 for a tank

somthing is wrong, an i think its with your tank doesnt seem to be picking up the rest, possibly pressure? when you use half the tank the pressure will be weaker when being sucked out, so faulty pickup?

m8 all 126's tanks are the same. ther was one on ebay other day
