Weber 30 DGF Specs
« on: August 20, 2014, 11:31:18 AM »
Hi All, I was wondering if anybody had the full specs of the weber 30 DGF 3/150 as used in the 126 bis.
I have a fiat 500 with a mildly tuned 650cc engine (cam, exhaust & 123 ignition). I also had a weber 30 DIC2 carb fitted. It is still a work in progress in terms of getting the carb jetting right for the spec of my engine. I did have the jets changed to match the very similar weber 30 DGF 1/150 as used on the Panda 30 thinking that as this used the twin port version of my engine it would be close enough to run well. Matching the specs of the Panda 30 carb involved changing the main jets down a few sizes to 110 and 100 (from 1.25 and 1.15). Also the air bleed jets had to be changed up a few sizes to 1.90 and 2.00 (from 1.70 and 1.80).
These changes greatly improved the running of the engine and almost completely eradicated the previous huge flat spot, however I still feel it is running very rich; it has atrocious fuel consumption and the exhaust tip would be black after only 2 drives. To this end I'd like to further experiment with the jetting and I see that the weber 30 DGF 3/150 used on the 126 Bis seems to have much smaller main jets (.90?) so I was wondering if anybody knew the full specs e.g.; air bleeds, idle jet, pump jet, etc. This information might allow me to guesstimate a good compromise for the jetting of my carb as a starting point to leaning things out a bit. Also are the ventures smaller in the this version of the DGF? I know on the Panda 30 they are 23mm as the are on my 30 DIC. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Colm.
