Sill

My Bis has a hole at the end of the sill by the rear wheel arch.  I have repaired it with Fibre glass but it has started to crack.  The car is going into the paint shop to have this repaired, should I buy a new sill to be fitted or just get the guy to makeup a piece of metal to fit?

I think it is more a question of money, if you are happy to pay for the sill to be replaced that would obviously be better, getting it patched will, however, serve the porpoise and be cheaper.

That is a good question. It depends what is under the paint. When I bought my blue Bis, it only had a hole on the passenger side sill whilst the driver's side looked okay. After being parked up for almost two years, it seems that the sill was held together by filler! The sill is self destructing. Everytime I visit my blue Bis, there is debris (rusted sill bits) on the floor.
