Hello Fiat Folk!
« on: July 07, 2011, 09:08:57 PM »
Hello everyone... Thought I would just ask a question or 2 about the Fiat 126!

My great Aunt has a Fiat 126 convertible 'Italian Job' which is in white, and If I remember, green and red paint job stickers perhaps? She has owned the car for at least 15 years and has been garaged, Hence is in very good condition with low mileage. I am a classic enthusiast with a couple of Farina Styled Austin/BMC cars and was wondering if this Fiat should be allowed out of the family?? I have driven it a few times and it's a great little drive... My main question is it's rarity? I have never seen another, and can't find pictures of it on the web. I recall her saying it was a limited edition, but that's about it Any advice or info would be greatly appreciated. I have to act fast or it might be 'given' away!!

It certainly didn't come out of the factory as a convertible. So has been made by someone. Italian job?never used Fiat 126s.
Hard to value without seeing the car or pictures. You can price the car using Ebay pricing, but condition is everything.
Is the car on UK plates, with MOT and Tax?

Is it aircooled or watercooled BIS?

Think this thread probably answers some of my questions http://club126uk.co.uk/smf/index.php?topic=3292.0 It would make sense as my Aunt used to live in the area.
