The earlier chrome & black plastic bumpers were mounted on a strong steel frame which has 2 studs that mount onto the front panel. The Bis bumpers are larger but more flimsy , have mounts for the same two holes in the front panel but also have a mount at either end which pick up on the front wings.  [-/

My car has 2 mounting brackets on the front panel and one on each of the front wing, sounds like the biz, although it is actually an air cooled engined car.

The early ones do fit the Bis but you are left with those vacant holes on the wings
