(-* to the forum, im sure youll find all sorts of usefull info on buying a 126 if you search the forum, the 126 will definetly stand out from the crowd, but all 126es, and i do mean all, need some work around them, to keep them happy, and then they make you happy, so i hope you dont mind getting your hands dirty... not sure about the wide body arches, im not into that stuff, but maybe some of the other guys can help...

"Issues" really depend on which engine you have but mainly the only thing you might have to look out for is a little tin worm, but you bought a fiat so I'm sure you are aware of that- best to get it back and give it a look.

as for the arches mini ones could possbily be adapted and I have seen group 5 arches up for sale- but how big a set of wheels are you intending to fit on it to need group 5 arches it wont be cheap!

.. oh and welcome!
one resprayed and another arrives- double trouble BIS style!!

Hi Alex , sounds like you have a seized brake cylinder there. You could have relieved the pressure by cracking open the the bleed nipple a tad but never mind . Brake parts are easy to get & it sounds like that is your priority plus a worshop manual unless you are minted. Make the little beast stop & go , get an MOT then you can go for the fat boot / racing stripe makeover. Love the enthusiasm of youth though, I was there about 100 years ago  The 126 is a good car to learn on & they often give you plenty of "teaching material" .If you stick with it you will get plenty of support on the forum. Which bit of pipe did you cut by the way?
