Disc conversion best options

hi guys

i want to eventually go up to allround discs on my 126, but will start with the fronts so what are the best parts to use? is x1/9 claipers or uno ones ? i know u can use panda discs. does anyone have a drawing with accurate dimensions for the mounting plate they would be willing to give me as i can make the backing plates myself if i have that. has anyone fitted discs on the rear yet?

cheers Doug

just discs on the front on mine, mine was a bought kit using fiesta calipers, custom back plates, and as yet unknown discs,it all came with re con king pins and once id sorted the dodgy bits it fitted fine !!......i have'nt bothered with rear discs yet,the stopping power at the mo is fine, there are kits out there for 500's for rear discs, not sure if a handbrake option is there or not tho, maybe just for circuit use...

fit fiat 125 parts?? Very cheap.

http://fiat-furious.pl/html/tuning_a/ham_tarczowe_v2_126/ham_tarczowe_v2_126.htm

Thanks to the fiat and the furious :)  I'm sure they won't mind the link.

The plans are at the bottom the page.

Warning, wiith these fitted the brake pedal seems to be on or off. These lock the front wheels up, fun but scary

Fiat 125 calipers are the same as the Fiat x1/9.
I had started this setup, but it doesnt fit aircooled 12" wheels.
I see you have a Bis - Therefore this will work.
I recommend you have a look through old post called disc brakes, alot of possibilities were considered and I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for there.
Incedentaly, if you were to opt for the Fiat 125 / x1/9 route, i have posted a front set on ebay, they've been cleaned and painted and were working when removed.
