Hi All,
« on: July 12, 2005, 09:47:33 PM »
Here`s  Rafal, I`m 126 fan from Poland.
Just days ago I found your website and I think it`s really great! The first British "Maluch" Club and actually one of the best sites about 126 I`ve ever seen on the web. Keep doin`your great job :) .
I have a 25 years old Fiat which is in a very good and original shape (the engine works like hell). Still the same good paint shine from Bielsko and motor`s sound which never had (and will never have) any restoration. The color is light nutbrown. He`s one of the last ones with old wheels` style (and not so good brakes  )
Also in the same garage stays an "extreme orange" 126p from `85, but it`s not Face Lifting. It`s got 650 E engine as all FL had, but you have to start it with "handbrake" and had a dynamo. But what`s more important it  still had chrome bumpers (1985 was the last year they had made em) and a "chapel" as a tacho. The car has been driven only 25 tousands kilometers, cause most of his life spent standing in garage (like this time). When you sit down in him you can still smell the air as it came from dealer. It`s a great feelling!

Chris, my 126p has a little bit more that 70 tousands kilometers, so this should be I think about 45 tousands miles.
Till 2000 he was used as a normal car, but after that we saved it and was driven less and less, and in a good weather. Since 2002 the car goes about 300 kilometers per year in the Summer.
Actually I don`t have a good digital camera, but this gonna be the first site I`ll upload my pics soon. The weather is great, car is waxed so the effect should be pretty good!
