Greetings from Poland
« on: July 03, 2016, 09:50:03 AM »
Hi, after leaving the UK 10 years ago for Poland I've decided to get back into 126's. I now live only 10 miles from the factory where they were built so I may as well own a piece of local history  :)

I picked up this 1995 126p el yesterday. Hope to have it back on the road by the end of the week after I replace the steering box and service the brakes. Along with a good cut and polish on the paintwork.

Cheers

Marc

Welcome to the forum Marc. Do let us know about your progress with the car 8).

Changed the steering box, 4 new shocks, 4 sets of shoes, 2 wheel cylinders and 2 rear brake pipes this morning and took it for an MOT this afternoon. And now we're all good for the next year.

I forgot how cheap the parts are in Poland for these cars, all in and on the road for under £100  ;D

Just to address the paintwork, might end up being a respray next year, but I'll see how looks once I've attacked it with 2000 wet and dry and a polishing mop. The car is solid so it's purely cosmetic.

Cheers

Marc

Hey Marco,

You are right about the price of parts.  I've got my brother in law on Allegro quite often at the moment!

Welcome!
