Fiat 126 pickup

Hello everyone.

Do you know how much demand there is for the Fiat 126 Pickup model? If I could get a hold of one, would it be fairly easy to sell on at a later date? I've never seen one for sale in the UK, and I'm just wondering whether (in your own experience or in your own opinion) people would be interested.

 Hi Remi. What sort of pick up are you talking about? Is this a home conversion? Is it based on a bis?
 It would be great for novelty value and shows, but perhaps not a most practical car to turn into a pick up.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I believe that there are original Fiat 126 Pickup models that were designed as standard, although I may be mistaken. Either way, if I possessed such a model already, do you think there'd be much demand among Fiat 126 enthusiasts (or among pickup truck enthusiasts)?

Hi Remi,

As 1973/126 said, there has been 2 or 3 conversions on here but non of them have been legally on the road they were still registered as the standard car. If you were going to bring a conversion pickup into the UK you stand a better chance of registering it if its been registered as a 126 pickup in the Country of origin, As for selling it on, Difficult unless it is UK Registered and MOT not very practical but using a kit they look stunning

 Remi have you got any pictures of the pick up you are talking about? Than we can determine if it`s a conversion or not. The only factory made 126 pickups to my knowledge were called Bombel, but these are very rare.

If the Bombel is the only one that were factory-made, then this one probably will be a conversion:

Ah, thank-you. Looking at those pictures, you'd have to assume a very small number were made seeing as how old the pictures look! I wonder how many are actually left (in running order) in Poland. Probably no more than a few (literally) perhaps?

 That one is definitely a conversion. It does look decent, but not very practical. Doesn`t look like you can open up the chequer plate bed either.
 I don`t think there would be much of a market/interest in the UK. You would be better of with just a nice clean standard car. Preferably pre 95 and air cooled
