Reluctantly selling my near perfect 126. She's on eBay so feel free to bid. It would be nice to see her go to a good home, having said that, I know most of you are used to paying £38 for your cars, so im not holding my breath!

Yes many of us have had problems with eBay buyers and sellers so it cuts both ways. I have not looked at your eBay listing as it is a water boiler but "near perfect" seems to indicate a car that is low mileage and has little use but getting it back on the road is exposing problems as you have outlined on the forum.
When you say "most of us only pay £38 for our cars" would that be the general hoypoloy or the enthusiastic members of this very worthy club ?

Well she reached £2208 but the reserve was £2500. Guess I can either keep her now or offer her to one of the other bidders. Hmmm decesions...

I'm glad it didn't sell, it's a really nice car and although money is important it's not a life changing amount...the second it sold you would miss and regret it...just like I'm doing now ith a beautiful car I sold yesterday...

I know. Im someone who always lets my heart rule over my head, and I enjoy my life as a result. Truth is, once ive paid tax,mot and insurance, its costing more than £1 a mile as I never use it! Plus every day I have to take it out the warehouse and leave it in the car park, and if its raining, I just keep looking at it wishing it was undercover. 2 people still very interested so lets see, whats meant to be is meant to be.

i just hope its more than £38..... i could buy two cars for that and a tin of spam with the change for the weekend if we are careful we could even get mondays lunch out of it...

Spam tins were better protected than the 126s as they were well oiled from the inside .
Anyway if you had any Spam you would only fritter it away

Well I got £2500 for it so im happy with that and hopefully the new owner will be pleased. Im 26 years old, so there's still (hopefully) plenty of time to aquire another one, one day in the future. I'll always find small cars fun so chances are, i'll probably buy another. Dont worry, i'll be back!
