My new "ride" 126-1 in rat look...
« on: September 17, 2012, 09:11:43 PM »
I know it`s not a 126, but only one number out.
The car was sitting in someones garden for 20 years in the same position so it took some man power to get it out, but finally got it home. I know what you thinking...what a beauty...
Booked in for an MOT on Saturday, so fingers crossed ;D

 It`s a glorious 1608 twin cam, only a standard so 90hp.

Shame it`s too far gone, because it`s a real early one, but it will only be for spares :(

I know the panels are not a problem, I was even thinking of picking up a complete 125p in Slovakia for spares, but is the actual structure. It`s not much there holding it together. Anyway we`ll see once I start stripping it down, as I really dont want to break it.

It`s still alive, but all stripped. Unfortunately there isn`t any hope for it to be back on the road as it`s just too far gone.
The amazing thing is that the engine wasn`t seized after 20 years of standing .
