Exhaust on an air cooled
« on: July 20, 2014, 08:06:21 PM »
Just trying to fit my new sports exhaust tonight (should release an extra 400 horsepower  :P) but have noticed the end of the pipes have an extra piece protruding past the face where it meets the elbow. This is my second exhaust as I fitted a regular one I got from ebay a few months ago and it was the same but I put it down to being a cheap copy part. I got round it by taking the extra pipework off with an angle grinder but now I'm not so sure if I should do it again. Anybody else come across this? Is there 2 types of elbow? Both the elbow and pipe are the same diameter so the pipe won't fit inside the elbow.
