« on: June 30, 2012, 06:13:08 PM »
Hi Guys, anyone know where i can get a nut to screw onto the clitch cable under car as theres only one oone and it keeps unwinding itself so clutch begins to slip. Had a look on ebay but cant see the correct one. Maybe i has the wrong nut on?
Any advice welcome

Many thanks

You should have two nuts on there, a special nut ,17mm A/F, which is like a dome nut but drilled & threaded right through. The dome bit locates in the clutch actuating arm then there shoud be an M6 lock nut. As I have found out in the past if that nut is not locked properly the cable will just vibrate loose.

Hi Rustys uncle.
I think youve described exactly the problem. There is certainly only one nut on there.
I wonder, is there anywhere that i can buy the nut required?.
Thank you for your reply
Kind Regards

If it is the small nut - Part No 15896211 missing, you should have no problem getting one from a motor factor it's just a standard metric nut.
