Aerial Replacement

How on earth do you remove the aerial - was the car built around it?

Where is it mounted Brian,they could be fitted anywhere (usually by the selling garage at pdi).If it's on the scuttle panel on the passenger side you should get at the securing nut from inside the luggage compartment.

Another 10 minute job that took 2 hours. It came out thought the blanked off air intake (which had been sealed into avoid leaks)  but it had a self tapping screw supporting the end of the tube through the passenger kick panel which I first missed – obviously they didn’t want it falling off. Very difficult to extricate due to the flag like tab on base for the supporting screw –luckily the car remained in one piece. I didn't think the new one which was slightly larger would fit - but it did as the tube was plastic and had a bit of give. Some scrote will probably snap it off first time out.
