Senior Moment !

So been out driving around in the 126 this morning. Parked up to have a mooch around a shop then got back in the car . Put the key in the ignition , turned it and the car would not start 
I tried this several times and the starter was completely dead, not even a click 
I paused for a while to have a think about what might be wrong

Then remembered that there was a funny lever on the tunnel in front of the hand brake , pulled it and "BROOM BROOM"

To make things worse I then started to talk to myself

I mainly said things like "You T**T"

The problem is when you pull the magic lever in a 'Normal car'.

'The v-belt is starting to slip'      I have that sometimes....

all you need is a beer and you will forget all about it....

Halfway through the first pint of Kiwi beer and we will have dealt with politics, religion and how well the English rugby team did at the World Cup (that's off the field as well)

Oh come on it was not that bad . The boys quickly achieved the gold standard in the "Chucking the smaller than average person" competition even though they must have been jet-lagged because it was in the early hours of the morning and they had to take haven in a nightclub when they could not sleep 
Then it was a gold at the end of the tour in the "First one off the Ferry" 
The bit in the the middle was not so good though !

For those of us that don't have this 'function' built in , what was the problem ?

As far as the English rugby team was concerned, all they had to do was put their jerseys on the right way around and the cup was theirs. But somebody forgot to tell the rest of the teams..........

I think I'm having a senior moment. When I started reading this thread I was sure it was about not being able to start a car.
