David Vizard the Tuning Wizard
« on: January 04, 2012, 08:33:19 PM »
When I worra lad a long time ago in a galaxy far far away, Whoops that was another story :D  I bought a book called Tuning BL's A series Engine by David Vizard it explains the theory behind tuning all OHV Engines in an easy to understand way. I recommend any enthusiast if you can get hold of a copy it will help you to understand the basics of tuning engines.
I was going to put this in the thread [Paint Can Tuning] But I thought it needed its own easy to find thread as it is a good reference to Tuning our Fiat OHV Engines.
Check out the Videos by the man Himself ENJOY :thumbup

Reading his book 'tuning bl's a series engine' when I was about 15-16 changed my life.  Some would say not for the better, but it started me down a path...............

I have never found anything else as informative. I have an engineering degree, and although there was some deeper stuff on thermodynamics, there was nothing that contradicted that book.

Some/ most other books I picked up over the years are t0ss by comparison, often written by people who may know what worked and what didn't, but not actually have the knowledge of why, nor the ability to explain it.
