Well just to confirm that we were actually there, our white BIS G136 LWF is JUST visible next to one of the two Zundaps (and if you weren't there, you probably don't know what a Zundap looks like - two at the same rally is a happening!). It was another great National. This was our first National with the BIS, in previous years we've taken the Messerschmitt or the Goggomobil. Such a shame so few 126s turned up as we'd have liked to meet with more fellow owners. With the exception of Peter's car (it was good to meet you, Peter), the other 126s all belonged to rally regulars and friends who are also members of other clubs. There was one 500 (an F, I think), just restored but sadly minus a spark plug which blew out, and a very nice 600F, which is the first one I've seen for many years. Why is the National not better supported? We even managed to get nine Fiats - 500s and 126s - at the East Anglian Microcar Club rally in Norfolk earlier this year.
We're still in Malvern just up the road at a Caravan Club CL for two weeks and we'll be touring the area in the BIS.
As Peter says, there is always next year..........
