Newbie here
« on: August 23, 2009, 10:12:14 PM »
Hi All

Not actually got a 126,  but just aquired a 1971 500L.

Have been looking through the forum and there is some really useful infomation.

My car has had nearly all new panels fitted,  though not very well,  so lots of work,  making it right!!!  doh.
Engine out and came with a spare engine (seized),  that when I have checked is actually a 650 motor.  Managed to free it off today and started stripping it.
Will keep an eye on here as great info.

Anyone know where I can find a panda 30 head then  ??  lol

Very glad I already have the 650.
All top half of engine stripped.  Bores etc, don't look bad.
I will have to get some pictures sorted.

Car just a rolling shell at the moment,  someone ( not the person we bought it off)  fitted the panels all round,  allready.  Not happy with the welding,  or repair panels fitted,  so have lots to do.
But the basic car is all there and a very good base.  Everything else is still with the car,  so lots to go at.

Bardy,   am in Stocksbridge.

You are more than welcome to come have a look.  Too busy with work to get properly stuck into it at the moment,  just dipping a toe at the moment and working things out.

Jon  :-)
