Hi, and welcome to the forum. Your car history is pretty impressive :) Which Blitz did you buy. Was it one of eBay? I also have one myself. It is just another project at the moment. The previous owner has done some steps towards making it road legal, but never got round it. What I was interested about, if it would be possible to register it on a fiat 126 vin plate? Or would it need to go on Q plate? Will go through the paperwork I`ve got, and if I find something helpful, I`ll let you know.
Shame you live so far away...

my understanding of current rules no chance in hell of using your reg or vin no. or v5c from donor 126 also Q plates are no longer availible last version of advanced test the SVA now stopped new rules believed to be very ott called BIVA possible compulsary thatchham alarm/ immobiliser on cars that can be hot wired with 1wire ? and costs £500
approx +takes about 4-5hours at VOSA test station. All i want is a simple economical fun safe runabout   top speed 65mph 60to the gallon ish?

i went down to vosa recently and i was told the new biva test isnt that much different for dramatically modified or recommisioned kit cars its aimed more at the new build mob . the price is well steep and the only real test is the brake tests from what i was told by the examiners.

There is a link below to the BIVA information. As Mick said is not that much different from the current test. Still not sure how it works with registration, even if it passed the test.

bis13-If you finish your project, would you be able to keep your original registration plates? Would it still be registered as a Fiat 126???

as its already registered yes as its the chassis having modifications and different engine so its in theory the same car.
the old plate transfer using the engine and vin plate is no longer legal . you would need to pass the test as a amateur low production vehicle/kit car as the vehicle has never been registered for the road.
however i am tempted to dump the 1108 into the black polski and spend forever making the roadster version.
if i do that i only need to notify the dvla of the engine upgrade and its a mot test.
