Glass fibre panels & bodykits
« on: September 01, 2008, 08:57:58 PM »
Does anyone know of a company that does glass fibre bodykits, bonnets, wings etc for the 126?  :?:

I was wondering about doing like some mini owners and removing all panels in front of the bulkhead and having a one-piece flip front mounted on a spaceframe.  Existing suspension points etc would be binned and incorporated into the new spaceframe.

Cheers
James

Anyone know what the kit on this 126 is? It's on You Tube if you search for "maluch turbo"

fibercar in italy do a group 5 and group 2 arch kit and fibre glass boots. see link. the youtube 126 is prototipe b2 car. i think each driver/owner makes there own kits because i've not seen two cars the same. this is the nicest i've seen. it's on a spaceframe chassis so not much 126 left.

hi guys
It just so happens that I  have the molds for group 5 arches and could certainly negotiate a price to supply these to anyone who may desire them in either fibreglass/ polyester or carbon/epoxy

cheers Doug

Hi guys

I've done a quick calc on materials and time to run a few sets off and I can bring a set of four arches trimmed in gel coat ready to fix on and etch prime for £100 plus postage which shouldnt be much within the Uk as they are quite lightweight.  As for Carbon epoxy ones I shall have to look into the costs of carbon as of recent its gone through the roof due to the Airbus using massive quantities.  Any questions feel free to Pm me, I shall try and digg outa few pics of a set asap.

Cheers Doug

Cheers for the info Doug, could you post  a pic/example of the group 5 arches?

I'm very interested as I'm starting to gather bits for my project.

Abarthstef - thanks for the link - although it sounds like it might be a pain to deal with them! Pic looks good though.

Cheers
