Wiper mechanism (500)

mine died a while ago.
I picked up a set of 126 spindles, axel gerstl will supply the set for under a fiver. I modified the 500 mech to take the 126 spindles. ( think this involved drilling/punching out the 500 spindle centre and forcing the 126 one in place then dome rivetting the end so it wouldn't come loose)
Since those spindles are larger diameter i had to get another set of wiper arms (austin maxi, although i suspect many british cars will have the same fit) chop them to length and re-rivet.
All in I had it sorted on one day of my weekend. Bit of a fiddle, but now i'm using the plastic spindles that wont seize. I've had this in place since 2006 and had no wiper troubles.
