Hi everyone.
Been trying to source a 126 to cure my itch but have always been too late or just missed out. BIS or aircooled but my other half is fed up of me trawling around both the internet and country looking for 'the one'. If I can't find one this way (or reasonably soon!) I'll be forced down the mx-5 route (she likes them!)
I'm a fully qualified technician and teach motor vehicle engineering so mechanically I'm fine. Body skills aren't my best but i can 'dabble'. With this in mind, anyone know of a car (I know i'm asking a lot here!!) that has reasonable to excellent bodywork but needs mechanical affection?
I live between Derby & Nottingham and am happy to cover the midlands, south yorks etc but she doesn't want me trawling off to the corners of the planet again.
I'm open to suggestions on price £500 - £750 - £1000 I'll pay what the car is worth (if I've got that much!)
Please help me if you can!
