Rev counter
« on: November 22, 2007, 08:07:41 PM »
Hi all

I've been searching for a rev counter for a while. I've heard stories about some designed for 2cylinder motorbikes or outboard motors etc. but never actually found one. Does anyone know where I could find one?

thanks
Frothy

Why do you keep posting that you are an unpaidup member??? Once and for all there is no paid up option for this forum! It just causes bad feeling on the forum with statements like that...

Everyone is welcome to read or contribute to any of the forum sections!

Please keep this place a friendly forum, that is what it's all about

The whole paid up part was due to me being suprised how many people had not paid or offered any thing at all to the club/forum as I was told it it not a club but a forum only.

some people use the forum free but just pop in get help with parts or tech help then sell the car afterwards on Ebay.

Some are here to help others with tech help and give something to the forum/club

Other people are here only to sell some parts they have laying around.

Some just come to wind others up.

I think we all know what the club is supposed to be about, The only reason the paid up idea is a bonus is it keeps the time wasters and the idiots out, many of these peope post on loads of forums as winding others up is a weird hobby.

The club is closing down as we all know. a great shame as the real enthusiasts are the only ones to suffer.

Sulking, back stabbing and general bickering is only spoiling what is left of what was a great forum / club.

I still feel that if more people managed to part with £16 the club would have survived.

ah man not this again! back to the topic i am soon to recieve 4 polish rev counters from poland.  One for me, one for stuey and the other two i was going to put on ebay and see how they do with the idea of ordering more if they sell well.  I would be happy to sell you one for the price i payed from poland when i have worked out how much they will cost me.  Wont be too much, prob around £30.
Cheers

Big_al

you are correct only problem is there are very few rev counters with a 2 cylinder setting on them most are 4,6,8 cylinder set ups so would only read half the revs as two revolutions would only be counted as one, hence when we find a source for a two cylinder one the whole forum goes mad grasping for them lol

kind regards Doug
Its slow but it does it in style !!

looks like i might end up ordering more!  Its best for me to order several because they prepare them for order and i pay cash on delivery.
