reverse light switch

hi guys, MOT tomorrow and i've just realised i've no reverse light, does anybody know where the switch is before I have to start pulling things to pieces to find it,
 near gearstick?, or on the box somewhere?

its a 87 FSM aircooled.

HI m8, sorry to hear about that, i think your right though the switch is likely to be unbder neath the gear stick so hence the push down?? for reverse? to actiavte the switch???

i hope someone else can help!!!!

Reversing lights don't come into the mot test.
So they do not check them.

thanks Cars, after too many MOT tests for me to remember I never realised they didn't test the rev lamp ,

 after crawling under the car and whipping the broken switch off the front of the gearbox, I'll now have to crawl back under it first thing in the morning & pop it back on to stop the oil from pissing out

car is now MOT'ed, passed first time, ?100 for car, ?40 for new H/light, indicator, & rev lense,  cheap motoring or what,  cost me ?140 for 1 tyre for the GTO,
car is now on loan to my mate until he gets his 500 sorted, or I confiscate it from him


car is amazing condition apart from dent in front and a couple of minor scrapes, no rust, no welding, 25K, 2 owners, grandma & grandson(numpty who dented & scraped it)
great little parts chaser & more space in the back for moaning gits than aforementioned money pit
