Hi all from Eastbourne
« on: September 29, 2006, 02:27:14 PM »
Hi All. Im from sunny Eastbourne. I currently own 5 Skoda's of varying ages (1970s S110R's to Highly modified Estelles and Rapids), but have been looking for another 126 as I owned one years ago. Anyway one has just come up. 24k miles, It hasnt been used since 2004 as it keeps flooding but for £100 sounds a bargain. Anyway If its ok ill be having it, if not I will be on the lookout still. Im not going to be a newbie and ask loads of questions about it yet. I think I will have a good go through the forum and see what I can find
Anyway hopefully speak to you soon Darrel

The last ones you basically had a choice. They stopped making them in 1990, but bearing in mind the FWD cars didnt really take off they were still being sold in larg numbers over here in 1992. It was all old stock sitting in fields from CZ.   Those ones rusted more than the earlier cars.
As for cars in Ireland a couple of friends have got them. I think there are only 8 left over there.

Picking the car up tonight. Really looking forward to starting on it. I will post some pics up at the weekend :D

I Havent gone anywhere, Im Still about. The Aircooled was rotten, however im getting there. Its going to not have any rear seats and im mounting the front seats further back so I can fit in it better than I did the BIS. Ive had all the welding work and engine work done, now all ive got to do is refurb the brakes and wait for the summer for a respray and finish the interior off. Im currently running about in a 899cc Cinquecento however the gearbox on that has started to make some orrible noises and the they are like hens teeth down here  . Anyway Speak to you all soon Darrel
