leaky nipples ..

hello you lot , just to say have tried to bleed my braking system yesterday ( saturday) ...

and its my first time of doing it without my help of my dad or someone who knows what they are doing ..

it was ok acutally and i learnt a awful lot ...

we havent actally managed to do the job yet as i have leaky bleed nipples or and also rounded off nipples that all range from like 5mm to 8mm even ones 10mm and all rounded to buggery ..which doesnt help atall    so ive ordered some new nipples ...


and a small leak .from the biggest pipe from the rear to the front .. so i will investigate it .. apart from that like i said it went ok ..

there actually pedal pressure now even on a leaky system so i am heading in the right direction with it ..

Did you make the pipes up yourself in the end?

Also liked your letter in the 500 Club newsletter (I think it must have been you). The 500 club has some great members (and some very shabby cars ) but I'll never get over some of the snobbery voiced on the forum, especially towards 126 owners (while hypocritically starting up a "new 500" register).

Since Brian Ryance died last year, the 500 club has also died north of Watford.

hello there, no i didnt make the pipes in the end i brought a pre cut set from germany , however they were a pipe short ??

and the local motor factors couldnt make me a new pipe and they werent standard ends ??

so i brought another precut set and now i have spare pipes should anything happen in the future

just need my nipples now, and i will try the system again
