starting issues
« on: September 20, 2017, 09:00:51 PM »
Hi, just after a bit of advice. I have taken out and stripped down the engine of my 126 bis and am having some issues starting it.

Which cylinder is number 1, is it the one at the front or the rear of the engine.

Any pointers would be greatly received, desperate to complete my 126 and get it out on the road.

My dad is coming over on Sat and lending a hand.

Have added a picture of the engine.

HI  :D It's generally acceped that the one nearest the pulley is number one but as the cylinders go up and down together there's never been a reason to number them. The ignition timing is a wasted spark system so and cylinder can be number 1.
