No it's fine, in brief you need calipers from a 1.2 punto or seicento and a pair of adaptor plates oh and of course discs and pads. You can buy new kits online for about £300 but I did mine for less than £120 as I bought the adaptors seperate (£30) and second hand calipers (£40) and a set of pads and discs. You won't need hoses but I fitted braided ones.
It's well within the realms of a DIY mechanic - just remove the drums, shoes, wheel cylinder then the back plate. Then bolt the adaptor plate to the hub, fit the disc then bolt the caliper to the adaptor. Fit the pads then connect the hose (you need to make sure the banjo end doesn't fowl the bodywork on hard lock) then bleed them up. Easy days work

The reason you can't see them is that the only place the caliper can go is towards the bottom (about the 4 o'clock position) and with steel wheels you struggle to see them.
